Change and adjust the file date

In the screenshot below you see the change file date/ time dialog. Using this tool enables you to change the file date of any file according to your needs.

As you can see you have numerous options to specify the file date.

You can adjust the file date by clicking on File in the Common tab and then click on File Date/Time in the drop-down menu. You can, of course, also use the shortcut keys Shift + D.

Take time/date from Options

 

· Custom Date: Allows you to customize the time stamp manually for file using the fields to the right of the option.

 

· Last access: Allows you to set the time stamp according to the last time is was accessed.

 

· Last modified: Allows you to set the time stamp according to the last time the  meta information of the file was modified.

 

· Creation: Allows you to set the time stamp according to the creation time.

 

· EXIF(only jpg): Uses the time stamp from digital camera the EXIF info contains.

 

   

 

Write Date/time to Options

 

· Last access: This option will write the time information chosen in the Take time/date from Options to the last access meta-information of the file.

 

· Last modified: This option will write the time information chosen in the Take time/date from Options to the last modified meta-information of the file.

 

· Creation: This option will write the time information chosen in the Take time/date from Options to the creation meta-information of the file.
