Email dispatch settings
Convert Image Files to JPG Format: All selected image files will be converted into the JPG format (if the image file is not already in JPG format) as the JPG Format can greatly reduce the file size with a small loss of image quality for photographs.
Shrink Image Files (maintaining aspect ratio) to: Image files will be shrunk to the specified width. The height is computed according to the original aspect ratio of the image. This is useful, as the smaller the width and height of an image is, the smaller the file size.
Generate a placeholder image for movie Files: If enabled, when sending video/movie files (*.avi, *.mpg etc.), one frame (image) will be extracted and sent instead of sending the whole video file.
The options Send all image files as multi-page PDF file: and Send all image files separately: are self explanatory. Please decide according to what you like best and what’s suits your situation. Generally we though it is nicer to send a pdf, which is why this option is default but of course sometimes the recipient would like to have the images as well, so in this case choose to send each file separately.
Upload to Facebook / Picasa / YouTube Of course you need to have a user account at Facebook, Picasa or YouTube in order to be able to upload media. When you click on Start, a browser window opens where you need to enter the login data of the appropriate account. Then Ashampoo Photo Commander 10 establishes a connection to the appropriate server and uploads the photos / videos. When completed, a message will appear that the files were uploaded successfully. If you want Ashampoo Photo Commander 10 to remember your login data, just check the box in front of Remember log-in information.
Facebook settings Especially for Facebook there are settings that help you to maintain a clear overview of your Facebook account. You can either create a new album with the pictures to be uploaded or select an already existing album from the list of albums in your Facebook account. I you select the latter option Ashampoo Photo Commander 10 establishes a connection to Facebook to retrieve the list of already existing albums. Therefore you will have to enter your login data, if you have not done this yet.
