The Ashampoo Photo Commander 10 offers the possibility to rename many files at once using a filter for filename generation. The Batch Rename tool can be found in the applications Tools menu (shortcut key: Shift+2).

 

 

Add files (Step1)

General Options

 

· Add Files: Add/Remove files to/from the list of files that should be sent.

 

· Move Up/Down: is used to select in which order files should be processed.

 

· Remove selected: Removes the all selected files from the processing list.

 

· Remove all: Clears the list completely.

Processing options

 

· Filter: Type text that will be used as filename base. Use * to insert the original filename. Use one or more # to insert the index and the number of digits to use. Use $T to add the file time and $D to add the file date of each file.

 

· Start Counter at: The counter will increase by one for every file that has to be renamed. Specify at what number the counter should start counting.
