If you double-click on a certain file type(e.g. JPG) in the Windows explorer, the file type must be associated with Ashampoo Photo Commander 10 to be opened directly with the program. This association with Ashampoo Photo Commander 10 is not done automatically as it is your decision with which applications you want to open which kinds of files. If you would like to adjust the association settings for Ashampoo Photo Commander 10, select Configure File Associations… in the Configuration menu.

 

Above you can see the associations dialog. There you can determine by ticking the boxes which file format should be associated with Ashampoo Photo Commander 10.

Example: If you associate JPG files with Ashampoo Photo Commander 10, it will be opened automatically with the Ashampoo Photo Commander 10 when you double-click on a JPG-file in the Windows explorer.

Please remember to press the “OK” button to confirm changes that you might have made in associations tab.

Using the options at the bottom of this dialog will make it easier to the work with the Ashampoo Photo Commander 10  from within the Windows XP operating system.

Note: Whenever you open this configuration window, the Ashampoo Photo Commander 10 scans the system to know whether it is already associated with the supported file types and automatically checks/uncheck’s the appropriate item during initialization.
